For the Anniversary bundle, we also created "nose" art for the Defiant. I collaborated with STO's Concept Artist, Hector Ortiz, on these designs.
For Star Trek Online's 10th Anniversary update, we wanted to go back and update all of our older models for our "hero" ships of the Star Trek TV shows. It was a massive task that included several new models and ship materials that brought the accuracy of STO's in-game models up to par with our more recent ships.
I rebuilt Defiant, including a new model and material. Our increased triangle budgets meant that I could build in accurate panel lines to the model and create a new material that complimented this increased detail.
