I am in the process of writing, illustrating and designing a coffee table book that is a worldbuilding guide for Star Trek creators who want to learn more about Starfleet and Star Trek starships. Here are a few work-in-progress spreads from this book.

The book, with the working title of STARSHIP CLASS, is meant to be a very broad overview and covers a little bit of technical detail, but is mostly interested in the "why" behind the "what." The primary focus is things like naval tradition, military science, production realities, and how all of that feeds into what we think of Starfleet and Star Trek starships. THIS IS PURELY A PERSONAL PROJECT AS OF THIS POSTING, though I've plenty of ambitions for it once it is finished.
